Florence H. Scancarello Florence H. Scancarello, age 81, of Piqua, Ohio, formerly of Little Falls, New Jersey, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2011 at her residence. She was born on July 24, 1929 in Paterson, New Jersey to the late Dante and Elizabeth Padula Bianchi. She is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, Morris Scancarello; son and daughter-in-law, Marc and Libby Scancarello of Troy, Ohio; and three grandchildren: Amanda, Emily and Zoey. In addition to her parents, her brother, Daniel Bianchi, preceded Florence in death. "Flo" and her husband, "Moe", owned and operated Mary Dunham's Homemade Candies for 45 years in New Jersey. They began their business in the basement of a boarding house shortly after they were married. Flo carried trays of Moe's homemade chocolates on city busses, delivering to various businesses in the area. Eventually they acquired a storefront and over the years became the area's favorite candy store. Flo will always be remembered for her mischievous sense of humor and youthful spirit. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Friends may call from 5 – 7 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy. A Prayer Service will follow at 7 pm with Rev. Fr. Thomas Grilliot officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 1, 2011 in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
