Florence Mary Peterka, 84, of Troy, Ohio died on Sunday, December 11, 2005 at 4:35am at the LaPorte Hospital, LaPorte, Indiana. She was born on May 14, 1921 in Manchester, England to Florence Leavsley Bent. She married Frank Peterka, and he precedes her in death in 1978. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law; Steven and Mary Beth Peterka of Michigan City, Indiana, one grandchild, Hilary Peterka of Michigan City, Indiana. She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, Troy, Ohio. She was owner/operator of Mary Peterka & Company of Troy from 1978 until retirement in 2001. Prior to that, she was a partner in Melman, Peterka & Company public accountants, of Dayton. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2005 @ 11:00am at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Troy, Ohio with the Rev. Melody S. Williams. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio. Friends may call on the family Thursday, December 15, 2005 from 6-8PM at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
