Obituary

Flora Brown Flora Brown, 83, while surrounded by her entire family, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Flora was born on January 2, 1926 in Kentucky to the late Leona Mae McCallister and Kelly Brown and was married to Belva Bill Brown on September 25, 1943. After 65 years of marriage, he will continue on Gods chosen path without the love of his life. They were blessed with two daughters, Mary Lou Larck, of Troy who has lived with and cared for both her parents for the last year, and Phyllis Brown also of Troy. They have five grandchildren. Tim Janet Larck of Troy, Mrs. Tony Melissa Mitchell of Christiansburg, Beth Moore Brad Cole of Troy, Charles Brandi Williams of Hamilton, OH, and Christine Matney of Troy. Great Grand children including Mrs. Clyde Alicia Thompson of Troy, Heather Knight of Troy, Ashley Williams of Troy, Mrs. Frank Megan Watkins of Troy, Chasity Williams of Hamilton, Briana Martin of Hamilton, CJ Williams of Hamilton, Nicholas Matney of Troy, and Caylee Williams of Hamilton. Flora was also blessed with Great-Great Grand Children including Clyde Thompson Jr , Dylan Thompson , and Haley Thompson all of Troy and Ayden Roe also of Troy. Flora was one of seven children, Mrs. Eunice Martin of Greenup, Ky, Mrs. June Meadows deceased, Mrs. Carrie Pearson deceased, Mrs. Dorothy Crawford of South Point, OH, Mr. Charles McAllister deceased, and Ms. Rebecca McCallister of Cleveland. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Flora had a zest for life and nothing brought her more pleasure than her family and working in her flowers or her garden. Flora was employed by Braun Brothers Meat Packing and Retired in 1983 from Dinner Bell in Troy after working there for more than 33 years. She was a member of the Corner Stone Baptist Church in Troy. Services will be held at Baird Funeral Home on Monday, March 30, 2009 at 2 pm with Pastor Matt Harbor officiating. Friends can call on the family 2 hours prior to the service. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. The family wishes that donations be made in her memory to the Corner Stone Baptist Church Building Fund in Care of Pastor Matt Harbor or the American Cancer Society.
