Firdie L. Wood Firdie L. Wood, age 76, of Tipp City, Ohio passed away at 1:45AM on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at his daughter's residence. He was born on August 12, 1933 in Somerset, Kentucky to the late Firdnan and Myrtle Wood. His wife, Shirley J. Frazier Wood preceded him in death on June 14, 1995. He is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law: Cathy and Gerald Grove of Polson, Montana, Anna Wood and Lori and Mike Ransbottom all of Tipp City, Ohio; six grandchildren: Anna, Bruce, Richard, James, Elanie and Mitchell; two great-grandchildren: Ely Lord and James Lord Jr. In addition to his parents and his wife, Firdie was preceded in death by his son, James Lee Wood and thirteen brothers and sisters. He was a machine operator for Miami Industries in Piqua, Ohio before he retired. Services will be held at 2:00PM Monday, April 19, 2010 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Burton Wolf officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City, Ohio.
