EVELYN POLI

EVELYN POLI, more recently of Troy and formerly of Springfield, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015.  She was born on April 13, 1920 and resided in suburban Philadelphia, PA over 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Poli and son, Raymond Jay.  Surviving are one daughter, Lynne Fobian and son-in-law, Paul Fobian; also six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

An active and dedicated community worker all her life; she served as a Federated Woman's Club President, where she focused on handicapped children and literacy programs.  Evelyn was active in scouting and parent-teacher organizations.  She was active in the Methodist Church and taught Sunday school for teenagers.

Professionally, she served as a secretary/treasurer for an advertising firm in Philadelphia founded by her husband.  She established an employment agency for the graphic arts industry, assisting rehabilitation students in obtaining employment.

She is currently a member of the Literary Ladies Book Club and the First United Methodist Church in Troy.  Interment will be private.
