Evelyn K. Macy, 89, of Troy, Ohio died on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at the Harborside Healthcare Center, Troy, Ohio. She was born on November 16, 1916 in Shelby County, Ohio to the late Jesse and Amanda Achbach Border. She married John W. Macy on September 5, 1942 and he survives. Also surviving are daughters & son-in-law; Rita and Richard Sutherly of Troy, OH; Jill Gearhardt of Troy, OH; four grandchildren, Dan Sutherly of Troy, OH; Amy Reiter of Elmore, OH; Matt Gearhardt and Fiance, Jessica Bayman and son Dylon; and Sarah Gearhardt of Troy, OH; two great-grandchildren, Lydia and Grace Reiter. She is preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Border; Lawson Border ad Lowell Border and son-in-law, Thomas Gearhardt. She was a former member of Casstown Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid Society; and member of Cove Spring Church since Casstown Lutheran Church closed its doors. She was also a 4-H advisor for many years and she spent her entire life in Miami County. She was a 1934 graduate of Newton High School. She was a lifetime homemaker. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2006 @ 10:00am at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with Rev. Paul Calvert officiating. Burial will be in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio.
