Evelyn Mae Davidson, 84, of Troy, moved home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 3rd, 2004, at her residence after an illness. She had a love of family, and enjoyed traveling to locations such as Gatlinburg, WV, Indian Lake, and various locations in the western states. She was an avid auto racing fan and watched the weekend races whenever possible. She was loved by everyone and will be sadly missed by all who know her. She delighted in visits from family members living throughout the U.S. She was an active member of the First United Church of Christ from a very young age and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was an LPN for over 30 years and served at Stouder Hospital in Troy. During WWII, she worked at the Sunshade Company. She was survived, and will be dearly missed, by her loving husband of 67 years, Roland R. Davidson, as well as her children, grandhcildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives, many in the Troy area. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Betty Ann Davis-Glunz of Palm Harbor, Fla., son Larry and daughter-in-law Christine of Fredericksburg, VA., son Timothy and partner Ernestina Darling of Tuscon, AZ., grandchildren Greg Davis, Pam Wilburn, Nick Davidson, Robin Hickman, Todd Davisdon, Christie Wilson, Stephanie Darling, and great grandchildren, Dustin Kendrick, Cal and Tyler Hickman, Cody Wilson, and Mercedes and Joseph Darling. Friends may call at Baird Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 6th, from 6-8PM. The funeral will be conducted at the First United Church of Christ in Troy on Wednesday, April 7th, at 10:00AM. Interment in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio. If desired, contributions may be made in Evelyn's memory to the American Heart Association.
