Ethel M. Kister, 84, of Troy, Ohio died on Monday, July 31, 2006 at the SpringMeade Health Center, Tipp City, Ohio. She was born January 17, 1922 in Miami County, Ohio to the late Vernon and Helen Colebaugh Peters. She married William Kister, and he precedes her in death, August, 1985. They were married for 38 years. Surviving are two children, sons & daughters-in-law; Craig & Jane Kister of Troy, OH; Roger & Crystal Kister of Troy, OH; sister, Mildred Benham of Tipp City, OH; three grandchildren, Shannon Cindy Kister of Indianapolis, Ind.; Amy Andrew Voisard of Springboro, OH and Erin Kister of Centerville, OH. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Schoenheit. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Troy; daughter of the American Revolution; Troy Senior Citizens; long term volunteer with the Upper Valley Medical Center; Miami County Courthouse and Troy Historical Society. She was a 1939 graduate of Staunton Schools. She retired after 25 years of service with the Troy Schools. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at 10:30am at the First United Church of Christ, 120 S. Market Street, Troy, Ohio with the Rev. Carol Bastin officiating. Private Family Interment will take place at Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, OH. Friends may call on the family at the First United Church of Christ, Troy on Saturday, August 5, 2006 from 9:30-10:30am and following the 10:30am service.
