Ethel Rose Coder, 83, died on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Springmeade Health Center, Tipp City, Ohio. She was a longtime resident of Alterra Sterling House, Troy, Ohio and of Tipp City, Ohio. She was born on August 16, 1922 in Malden, Massachusetts to the late Phillip and Edith Spencer Gillette. She married Charles D. Coder in 1943 and he preceded her in death, May 21, 1987. She is survived by her two children, Son and daughter-in-law; Dwight and Kay Coder of Tipp City, Ohio and daughter and son-in-law; Rosemary and Ron Hill of Twin Mountain, New Hampshire; sister, Beulah Ludwig of Orchard Park, New York; six grandchildren, Nanette Fields of Worthington, Ohio; Mandi Grohoske of Columbus, Ohio; Matthew Weaver of Zanesville, Ohio; Gilliam Bowman of Irvine, California; Spencer Hill of Twin Mountains, New Hampshire and Jamahl Hill of Irvine, California; seven great-grandchildren, Nathanel Fields; Jordan Fields; Adrian Fields; Bradley Grohoske; Hanna Grohoske; Ashley Weaver and Emily Weaver. She is preceded in death by four brothers, Plemin Gillette; Stewart Gillette; Everett Gillette; and Harold Gillette and two sisters, Mary Olson and Pearl Beaman. She was very active in all capacities at the Christ United Methodist Church in Malden, Massachusetts. She graduated in 1941 from Malden High School where she was Valedictorian. She was an accountant with Jackson Industries. A memorial service will be held on December 18, 2005 @ 2:00PM at the Sterling House, 81 Stanfield Road, Troy, Ohio 45373.
