Esther L. Hamiel, 74 of Troy, died Fri. June 22, 2001 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born in Dayton on July 27, 1926. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Wallace E. Hamiel; one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Helen Morrow of Clayton, OH. Two daughters and son-in-laws Barbara J. and Stephen Hedges of Tipp City, and Pamela J. and James Kidder of New Carlisle; one son and daughter-in-law, William R. and Tamara Hamiel of Troy. Eight grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, William R. and Grace M. Morrow; two brothers, Joe and Roy Morrow; one sister, Mary Lowrey; one son-in-law Wilmer ''Thomas'' Egelhoff and one nephew, Ron Hale. She graduated from Northridge High School in 1947 and was a member of the Cove Springs Church, Troy. Graveside services will be held Tues. June 26, 2001 at 1:00PM at the Dayton Memorial Park and Cemetery on N. Dixie Dr. in Dayton, with the Rev. Paul Calver Officiating. Friends may call on the family Mon. June 25 from 6 to 8 PM at the Baird Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
