Rev. Ernest J. Virgint, 88, of Troy, Ohio died on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at his residence. He was born on September 10, 1916 in Caledonia, Ontario, Canada to the late John and Elsie May North Virgint. She married Ella C. Peterson and she precedes him in death in 1997. He is survived by four children, sons and daughters-in-law; John and Teresa Virgint of Troy, OH; Ernest and Elizabeth Virgint of Ontario, Canada; daughters and son-in-law; Anna Marie Virgint of Troy, OH and Betty L. and Larry Caldwell of Whiteville, NC. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; Kirsten Elizabeth Caldwell Del Savio; Jennifer Margaret Virgint Andrews; Megan Alice Caldwell Del Savio; April Anne Virgint; Mark Edward Virgint; Lesley Anne Virgint and Erin Elizabeth Virgint; three great-grandchildren; Noah Mitchell Andrews; Sebastian James Andrews and Amelia Elizabeth Del Savio. After attending Collegiate Institutes High School he went on to Philadelphia School of Bible; he received his Teacher's Diploma from Evangelical Teacher Association; Council of Representative Christian Ministers; attended Wheaton College Academy; and received his Bachelor of Theology from American Bible School. He served as a missionary in Nigeria and Kenya, Africa from 1942-1958. He was a former Pastor at Grace Baptist Church, Troy, OH; worked in sales at Roarks Furniture, Laura, OH; worked in sales at Town & Country Furniture, Troy, OH. There will be a Private burial. Friends may call on the family Friday, April 1, 2005 from 5:30-8:30PM. Contributions may be made to American Leprosy Missions, 1 Alm Way, Greenville, SC 29601. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; sisters; Erie Grace; Beulah Elsie May; Hilda Leona; Lily Irene; Violet Eva and Helena Bessie.
