Ernest L. Thokey, age 94, of Troy died Tuesday, February 6, 2001. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Larry Ketring; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and JoAnn Thokey; Seven grandchildren and Seven Great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Clare; wife, Dorothy and two siblings. Member of the First Lutheran Church; formerly with Troy Rec Board, Troy City Council; Troy Chamber of Commerce. He was a member and past exalted ruler of the Troy Elks and longtime secretary of the Troy Kiwanis. Former travel coordinator for the Troy Senior Citizens with his wife. Former manager with the Troy Daily News and retired from Hobart Corporation in 1973. He operated his own printing business from his home for many years following retirement.
