Emma Louise Clendenen, age 89, of Troy, OH passed away on August 22, 2024 at the Traditions of Lebanon.  She was born August 1, 1935 in Troy, OH to the late Clarence J. and Frances E. (Ross) Tobias.

Louise is survived by her sons: Von (Cindy) Clendenen of Vandalia and Derek (Kristi) Clendenen of Lebanon; sister: Barbara (Maynard) Mitchell of Fletcher; six grandchildren: Zach (Caitlin) Clendenen, Ashley (Jordan) Remmetter, Allie (Jeff) Lape, Jacqueline Clendenen, Luke Clendenen and Lauren Jones; 7 great grandchildren: Olsen and Larkin Clendenen, Jackson and Emilee Remmetter, Maisy and Juliette Lape, Bella Jones and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years: Arnold E. Clendenen and sister: Mary Jane (Don) Brown of Troy.

Louise was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren in their many sports and activities throughout the years.

Louise was a 1953 graduate of Miami Central High School where she was Valedictorian.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Troy where she was a longtime Sunday School teacher.  Along with her husband, she operated Arnold's Canteen and Shear Magic Salon. She and Arnold enjoyed wintering in Clearwater, FL.  While there, they attended Countryside Baptist Church and volunteered their time helping others.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.  Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington.  Friends may call from 4:00-7:00PM on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the funeral home.
