Elsie "Dagnie" Carlson, age 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family on December 23, 2022 at the Miami County Hospice Center in Troy, OH. She was born in Watton, MI on a farm among the youngest of seventeen children. She moved to Detroit, MI and had several jobs but mainly with Burroughs as a manager before becoming a full-time wife and mother.

She was predeceased by her husband, the late Harold Carlson in 1972 in Detroit, MI. She is survived by her daughters Kathryn McQuade (Kecich) of Bluffton, SC and Nancy Nutt (Carlson) of Troy, OH; 2 grandchildren, Erin Post (Nutt) and Robert Nutt; 5 great grandchildren, Lauren, Luke, Jake, Hannah and Harper.

Dagnie was a member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church. She served for many years volunteering at the Finnish Center preparing and serving meals for various events. She donated her time to the election process.  She enjoyed golfing, playing cards and especially bowling. She traveled quite a bit even to places like Finland, China, Turkey and Mexico.
