Eloise T. Jones Eloise T. Jones, age 92, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at her residence. She was born on November 23, 1917 in Kimball, West Virginia to the late James Hubert Taylor and Lillie Keene Taylor. Her husband, Patrick Jones, preceded her in death in 1980. Survivors include her daughter, Jeri Birnbaum of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren: Araia Patrick Tesfamariam, Eden Beatrice Birnbaum, Andrew Eugene Birnbaum and Joshua Richard Birnbaum; great-grandchildren: Zora Silénce Gates and Elijah Rayne Birnbaum; sister, Violet Hughes of Lynchburg, Virginia and brother, Dr. James H. Taylor Jr. of Lynchburg, Virginia. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by four sisters: Madge Taylor, Lillie Taylor, Youtha Porter and Hazel Otey. She graduated from Hampton University with a Bachelors Degree in Educational Science, from Miami University with a Masters Degree in Education and from Wright State University with a Masters Degree in Administration. She was a member of the Phi Delta Kappa Teaching Sorority and Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc. She was also a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Dayton for over 50 years and an avid bridge player. Mrs. Jones was a Teacher for the Dayton Public School System for 25 years during her 31 years of teaching. Services will be held at 7:00PM on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base Chapel No. 3, Fairborn, Ohio. Friends may call from 5-7PM on Tuesday at the chapel. Private interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. The family of Eloise Jones would like to thank Dr. F.
