ELIZABETH "BETTY" WIDENER

Elizabeth "Betty" Widener, age 81, of Troy, OH passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit in Troy, OH.  She was born on March 29, 1933 in Sioux Falls, SD to the late Emil and Phyllis (Lyndoe) Raveling.

Elizabeth is survived by three daughters: Anita Layman of Troy, OH,  Linda (Don) Collins of Niceville, FL, and Julie Mader of Troy, OH; one son: Ron (Josee) Widener of Columbus, OH; four sisters: Myrna Hart of Dayton, Marjorie Johnson of Chicago, IL, Della Swigart of Indianapolis, IN, and Loretta Johnson of Indianapolis, IN; twelve grandchildren: Allison Sherrill-Muston, Christina Gallagher, Melissa Rhoads, Stephanie Sauder, Sean Sauder, Brianna Layman, Tori Layman, Danny Collins, Joey Collins, Montana Widener, Cody Widener and Alexia Widener; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Elizabeth was a member of the Women's Bowling Association of Ohio for 37 years. She retired in 2010 as an Administrative Assistant at the Miami County Health Department after 37 years of service.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Pastor Joe Hill officiating.  Friends may call from 12-2 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
