Elizabeth McCoy Flaker, 94, formerly of Columbus and Troy, Ohio, passed on peacefully at SpringMeade Nursing Center, Tipp City, Ohio, on May 27, 2006. She was born January 13, 1912, in Jackson, Ohio, to the late Mike and Blanche Claar McCoy. She is survived by a daughter Janet Wise and husband , Chuck, of Troy, Ohio; grandson, Craig Wise and wife, Jane, of Troy; granddaughters, Cheryl Sweeney and husband Paul, of Heidelberg, Germany; and Lisa Rimmler and husband, Ralf, of Gruenstadt, Germany; great-granddaughters, Emma and Claire Wise; great-grandsons, Ryan and Philipp Rimmler; and sister, Wilma Edwards, of Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lee, after 65 years of marriage; three brothers, Delbert, Vinton, and Courtney McCoy; and two sisters, Thelma Keairns and Mary McCoy. She was a member of Linden United Methodist Church in Columbus and a 50-year member of the United Methodist Women. She was an associative member of the Troy United Methodist Church and was in the Susannah Wesley Circle. She was a patron member of the Troy Musicians' Club and belonged to the Piqua-Lewis Boyer Chapter of DAR. Friends may call on the family on Wednesday, May 30, 2006 from 4:00 - 7:00PM at the Baird Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 1, at 10:00 A.M. with the Reverend Doctor James C. Wilson II officiating.
