Elinor C. Shafer is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon L. and John Mathes and Pamela K. and Kenneth Boval; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Helen Catterlin; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Herbert Shafer; her parents, Wilbur and Lelia McDaniel Catterlin and two sisters, Mary Norris and L. Jeanette Updike.

Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio.
