Eleanor C. Higgins, 94, of Troy, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at the Koester Pavilion Nursing Center, Troy, Ohio. She was born on September 9, 1910 in Piqua, Ohio to the late George and Mary Thirion Konz. She married Wayne Higgins, and he preceedes her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Joan Funderburg of Troy, OH; a sister, Alma Battson of Piqua, OH; and two grandchildren, James Kathy Funderburg of Bryan, OH and Thomas Susan Funderburg of Troy, OH; three great-grandchildren, Nate Rachel Funderburg; Nicholas Funderburg and Philip Funderburg all of Troy, OH. Also she has two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Austin Funderburg. She is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews. She is preceded in death by husband, parents, and 13 brothers and sisters. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy; Time of your life at the Church; played Bingo at St. Patrick Catholic Church; and past volunteer at Stouder Hospital. She worked in the cafeteria at Troy High School. Services will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, Ohio on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 10:30AM with Rev. Fr. Jim Duell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Piqua, OH. Friends may call on the family on Friday, March 11, 2005 at Baird Funeral Home from 5-7PM. There will be a 7:00PM Rosary at the funeral home.
