Eleanor F. Ellie Cousins, 64 of Troy passed into the church triumphant Tuesday, April 9, 2002 at her home, surrounded by family. She is survived by her husband, John; her brother, Bob Terry; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Mary Cousins, Peter and Elizabeth Cousins; daughters Sandy Cosner and Susan Cousins and four treasured grandchildren, Dylan, Megan, Joey and Sophia. Ellie graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY where was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorortiy and met her beloved husband of 42 years, John Cousins. She moved to Troy in 1964. She was the long-time treasurer of the First Prebyterian Church and worked as office manager for Dr. James A. Simms. She also volunteered as ticket manager for the Troy Civic Theater for a number of years. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Saturday,April 13, 2002 at 11:00AM. The famly wil receive friends at the Baird Funeral Friday, April 12 from 4 to 7pm. In lieu of flowers, Ellie requested that contributions be made to First Presbyterian Church, 20 S. Walnut Street, Troy; Hospice of Miami County, PO Box 502, Troy; or the Christian Children's Fund, 2821 Emerywood Parkway, P.O. Box 85066, Richmond, VA 23286-8912.
