ELDON R. "FOOT" SCHAEFER

ELDON R. "FOOT" SCHAEFER, age 72, of Troy, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  He was born in Clark County, OH on April 7, 1943 to the late Dewey and Jessebelle (McClintock) Schaefer.  His wife of 51 years, Faith Ann (Hunt) Schaefer, survives.

Eldon is also survived by two sons: David Schaefer of Troy and Thomas (Robin) Schaefer of Bradford; one grandson: Andrew Schaefer; brothers: David (Judy) Schaefer of Conover, Ernie (Billie) Schaefer of Troy and Vernon (Kathleen) Schaefer of Tipp City; and sisters: Peg (Norman) Karnehm of Troy, Christine Ward of New Carlisle and Nancy (Eldon) Hinkle of Laura.  In addition to his parents, Eldon was preceded in death by siblings: Paul Schaefer, Mike Schaefer and Edwina Ward.

Eldon was a member of Tipp City Church of the Nazarene.  He was a hardworking man and retired after 35 years with Miller Brothers Excavating.

Graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Miami Memorial Park in Covington with Pastor James Brown officiating.  Arrangements are being handled by Baird Funeral Home in Troy.
