Eileen Roney, 94, died at SpringMeade, Tipp City, Ohio on Wednesday, April 10, 2002 after a lengthy illness. She is survived by nephews, Richard Roney, Desmond and Jean Wolfe; several great and great great nephews and nieces. Miss Roney was preceded in death by her parents, William A. and Estella Houser Roney, brother, Robert E. Roney; nephews, David H. Roney, Robert E. Roney and a niece, Carol Roney Wolfe. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Troy, Ohio; and was past president of Altrusa Club of Troy, OH. Miss Roney was a 1926 graduate of Troy High School and attended Simmons Library College, Boston, MA 1943-44. She retired after 47 years as a librarian in Troy and Piqua. Visitation will be from 12:00 -2:00PM Friday, April 12 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio, with a service at 2:00. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio.
