Edward Dale Snedeker, 70, died at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio on Sunday, July 27, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Alnora Johnson Snedeker. He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Evelyn Snedeker of Detroit, Michigan; brothers and sisters-in-law: Bob and Fran Johnson of El Paso, Texas, David and Pat Johnson of Bridgeport, Ohio, Doris Jane and Tony Harry of Cupertino, California; Aunt Louella Gilber of Moundsville, W. Virginia and Cousin Don and Pat Snedeker of Marquette, Michigan; also many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Snedeker was a member of First United Church of Christ, Troy, Ohio; member of National Oranists Guild; US Army veteran during Korean War; played and co-directed Musical and Poultry Days in Versailles for 18 years; played pipe organ in numerous churches since he was 12 years old. He had a B.S. in Music Education from Morehead University; Organ Performance Degree from Conservatory in Cincinnati; Masters in Child Psychology from Miami University; Masters in School Administration. He was band director at New Madison, Ansonia, Parkway, Greenville, New Bremen and Versailles where he retired in administration in 1985. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio. A funeral service will be at 10:00AM Thursday, July 31, 2003 at First United Church of Christ, Troy, Ohio with Revs. Al and Carol Bastin officiating. Burial will be in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Church of Christ Organ or Music Fund.
