Edward (Ed) J. Hoke, of Troy, passed away unexpectedly on January 14th 2026 at his home. He was born on June 7th 1955 to the late Wayne B. Hoke and Adela Berger Hoke.

In addition to his loving mother, Ed is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judi Fields Hoke, son Rory (Sara) Hoke of Troy, two grandsons Brody and Cooper Hoke, his brother John (Kim) Hoke and sister Sharon (Carey) Sheremet of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He is also survived by his step mother-in-law, Esther Fields of Covington and special sister-in-law, Susie Fields of Piqua. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, along with numerous brothers and sisters in law.

Ed was preceded in death by his father Wayne, twin brother Richard J. Hoke, and son Jeremy Edward Hoke.

Ed retired from Centerpoint Energy. He was an incredibly talented and creative artist, specializing in creating wooden sports memorabilia for his favorite teams, the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and Cincinnati Reds. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandsons, Brody and Cooper, and cheering them on at their various sports endeavors. He also enjoyed his dog, Millie.

Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Tuesday January 20th 2026 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.  Service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday January 21st 2026 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery.
