Edward C. ''Eddie'' Van Horn, 88, died at his residence Friday, June 14, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Z. Louise Seitz; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Vicky Van Horn;stepsons and daughters-in-law: Norm and Lorrie Long, Robert and Judy Long; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ermina Bittinger in 1972; his parents, Bradford M and Minnie Gorrell Van Horn; one brother, Colin Van Horn. Mr. Van Horn was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Troy; Troy Senior Citizens; played Santa Claus for years, answered children's mail and enjoyed decorating the home with lights for the holidays each year. He was a 1932 graduate of Troy High School. Mr. Van Horn retired from Hobart Corporation after 41 years of service; he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Visitation will be from 12:00 -2:00PM Monday, June 17, 2002 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH with services at 2:00 on Monday, June 17 at the funeral home with Revs. Al and Carol Bastin officiating.
