EDNA ELLEN SCARFF "ELLEN", age 91, of Troy passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Troy Care Center in Troy.  She was born in Miami County, OH on February 10, 1923 to the late Charles Henry and Dollie Irene (Ginn) Vannoy.  Ellen was married to Robert L. "Mick" Scarff.  He preceded her in death.

Ellen is survived by one son: Michael Scarff of Troy; one sister and brother-in-law: Laura Jean and Merril Grove of Troy; and one niece: Denise Grove of Troy.  In addition to her husband and parents, Ellen was preceded in death by an infant brother: Melvin.

Ellen graduated from Lost Creek School.  She was formerly employed by Kolter's Jewelry Store in Troy.  Ellen was a member of Troy Church of the Brethren and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #256 in Troy.  She was a good mom.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.  Burial will follow in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown.  Friends may call from 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon on Monday at the funeral home.
