Edna Scott May Edna Scott May, age 95, of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday evening, December 28, 2010 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born on July 3, 1915 in Troy to the late Anthony Oliver and Sarah Crowe Scott. She married Byron A. May in May of 1938 and he preceded her in death in October of 1978. Edna is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Scott S. and Martha May of San Ramon, California and Jeffrey S. and Judie May of Littleton, Colorado; granddaughters: Molly May of Marina, California, Sarah May of Magelia, California and Melynda May of Littleton, Colorado; grandson, Byron David May of Littleton, Colorado; one great-granddaughter and one great-grandson both of Marina, California. She was a graduate of Troy High School and attended Miami-Jacobs Business College. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Troy, Troy Country Workshop Artists and was a former member of the Troy Beautification Committee. Edna was named a Citizen of the Year for Troy and transcribed books into Braille for the blind. She enjoyed gardening, watercolor painting and was an avid bridge player. Edna was the office manager for the family construction business, A.O. Scott & Sons, for 20 years before her retirement. She was a lifelong resident of Troy, Ohio. Services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Riverside Cemetery Chapel, Troy with interment to follow. A reception will be held from 3:00-5:00PM on Thursday at the Troy Foundation, 216 W. Franklin Street, Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, P.O.
