EDNA F. ERTZ

EDNA F. ERTZ, age 82, of Troy, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at her residence following an extended illness.  She was born on October 15, 1931 in Robbins, TN to the late Edward and Myrtle (Ellis) Chitwood.

Edna is survived by two daughters and son-in-law: Diana Christine Beckstedt of Troy and Duretta Lynn and Robert Long of Troy; one son: Larry A. Ertz of West Milton; two half sisters and brother-in-law: Darlene and Chester Moody and Carolyn Wiseman; four grandchildren: Chad Ertz of Casstown, Heather Detrick of Troy, D. J. Beckstedt of Sidney and Eric Ginter of Dayton; several great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother: Kenneth Chitwood.

Edna went to Cosmetology School and became a beautician with several local shops.  She was also a quality control inspector with Creative Extrusions in Tipp City.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Rev. John Shelton officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  Friends may call from 2 – 4 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
