Edna Irene Chaney, age 91, of Troy, OH passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Laurels of Huber Heights.  She was born on July 21, 1925 in Wilmington, OH to the late Harry and Nellie (Campbell) Hosier.  She was married to Robert E. Chaney and he preceded her in death on October 18, 2002.

Edna is survived by her son and daughter-in-law:  Michael and Mary Ann Chaney of Troy; daughter and son-in-law:  Sharon E. and John "Jack" Crowley of Ocala, FL; sister: Barbara Clarke of Troy; brother: James Hosier of Morehead, KY; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Joyce and Jean and brother: Harry Jr.

Edna was a 1943 graduate of Wilmington High School.  She was a former employee of Hobart Corporation.  She was an avid quilter and enjoyed being active in quilter's guilds while living in Florida.

No services will be held.  Private interment will take place in the National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 31 West Whipp Road, Dayton, OH 45459.  Friends may express condolences to the family through www.bairdfuneralhome.com.
