Ed Brumbaugh, age 80, of Troy, Ohio passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012 at his residence. He was born on June 5, 1932 in West Milton, Ohio to Aubrey and Susan Bashore Brumbaugh. He is survived by his wife of 59 years of marriage, Ruth Ann Young Brumbaugh; his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Nancy Brumbaugh of Casstown, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Tim Beckman of Greeley, Colorado; brothers and sisters-in-law, Herb and Barbara Brumbaugh of Covington, Ohio; Marvin and Dorothy Brumbaugh of Laura, Ohio and Betty Brumbaugh of Dayton, Ohio; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice Sue and Bob Middlestetter of Arcanum, Ohio; Linda and Jerry Sherick of Florida; grandchildren, Jason Brumbaugh; Lydia Fiance, Heath Boyes Strode; Micah Strode; step-granddaughter, Jessica Mike Thompson; great-granddaughter, Syriha. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Wehrley and one brother, Calvin Brumbaugh. Ed was a 1950 graduate of Milton-Union Schools. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy, Ohio; Troy Fraternal Order of the Eagles; Troy Fish & Game Club and Troy Senior Citizens. He was retired from Hobart Brothers Company, Troy after 45 years of service and 38 years of service with the City of Troy at Hobart Arena. Services will be held 10:30AM Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with the Rev. Dave Leckrone officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio.
