Obituary

EARL S. SCHERZINGER, age 91, of Troy, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at his residence.  He was born in Hamilton, OH to the late Bernard C. and Mildred C. (Lyons) Scherzinger and raised in Cincinnati.  Bernard and Mildred were founders of the ScherZinger Pest Control Corp. in Cincinnati in 1934.

Mr. Scherzinger is survived by three sons and one daughter: David Joe (Jo) Vogel of Nashville, TN, Keith (Cheryl) Scherzinger of Connersville, IN, Bruce (Eileen) Scherzinger of Vienna, VA and Linda (Chris) (Scherzinger) Bardasian of Westlake, TX; Twelve grandchildren: Craig, Cory and Scott Vogel, Cory Scherzinger, Brad Scherzinger and Amber Bass, Jennifer Scherzinger of Bellbrook, OH, David, Rachel and Andrew Scherzinger of Vienna, VA, Greg Bardasian and Jessica (Bardasian) Marchetti of Dallas, TX, and Doug and Abi Bardasian of Mason, OH; numerous great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Ed, Dick and Bill Scherzinger.

Mr. Scherzinger was a three-year veteran of the Ohio National Guard and a four-year veteran of the US Navy, serving in the Korean War.  He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church and a 1947 graduate of Purcell High School, both in Cincinnati.  Mr. Scherzinger was a product designer for Philco-Ford in Connersville, IN, Hobart Corporation, Kitchen Aid Division, in Troy, OH and a self-employed Machine Designer at home.

Graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Troy at 2:00 PM on June 19, 2021.
