Earl Edward "Ed" Dickerson, age 78, of Troy, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at SpringMeade Health Center in Tipp City.  He was born on September 25, 1943, in Troy, to the late Donald and Esther (Wright) Dickerson.

Ed is survived by his wife of 38 years: Ruth (Harmon) Dickerson; two children: Brian (Lori) Dickerson of Troy and Debbie (Paul) Bracci of Fairborn; one brother: Dale Vorhees of Troy; one sister: Alma Heyl of Cincinnati; five grandchildren: Alicia (Drew), Carrie, Kayla, Christopher and Katie; and four great grandchildren: Lucas, Arya, Kinsley and Maverick.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by stepson: James Benson; and brother: Allan Vorhees.

Ed was a graduate of Troy High School.  He was formerly active in bowling and golfing.  He enjoyed reading, sweets and had a quick wit.  Ed was employed for 32 years at Hobart Corporation before retiring from ARC Abrasives.

Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Troy.  Family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
