Doyle Everett Flory, 82, of Troy, OH, passed away suddenly Friday, September 21, 2007, at Mercy Hospital & Medical Center, Chicago, IL. He was born March 24, 1925, in Darke Co., Ohio, to the late O. Blaine and Ethel B. Groff Flory. His wife of 48 years, Jean M. Heier Flory, resides in Troy. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four sons and daughters-in-laws: Rand and Donna Flory of Cody, WY, Dan and Sally Flory of Knoxville, TN, Richard and Hope Flory of Troy and Marc and Lesley Flory of Dayton, OH; two daughters and sons-in-laws: Jan and Kent Hummel of Loveland, CO and Kay and Dale Brown of Louisville, TN; sister, Lois Harshbarger of Troy; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Flory was preceded in death by his brothers: George and Don Flory; granddaughter Christine Eads and great grandson Denver Wormald. He was a 1943 graduate of Franklin High School in Darke Co. and attended Phoenix City College. He was also a 50yr. Mason Gettysburg Lodge #477 F&AM, active with the Troy Civic Theatre, member of the Sun City Rotary, and a US Navy Veteran, Mr. Flory retired after 32 years as Manager of Planning and Control at BF Goodrich. He was also the owner of a travel agency in Peoria Arizona for 13 years. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Thursday, September 27, 2007 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev. Kent Hummel officiating. Burial will take place at Sugar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8PM Wednesday at the funeral home with Masonic services at 7:30PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
