Douglas Denson, of Piqua, OH, formerly of Troy, died on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at his residence.  He was born in Covington, KY on April 15, 1953 to the late James E. and Lucille (Gilliam) Denson.

Doug is survived by three children: James "Jay Dee" (Carla) Denson, Piqua, Saira Denson, Troy and Ethan Denson, Troy; one brother: Jerry Denson, CO; one sister: Brenda Havenar, Lockington, OH; and two grandchildren: Brenda and Levi Welch.

Doug graduated from Troy High School, Troy, OH in 1972.  He was employed by Precision Strip, Tipp City, OH.  Doug loved baseball and NASCAR, with Mark Martin being his favorite driver.  He also loved to fish, loved country music, loved to spend time camping with his kids and loved a good party.  Doug's favorite season was summer.  He enjoyed spending time near the ocean.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH.  Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
