Douglas Dean Anderson, age 89, of Casstown, OH passed away on May 19, 2025 at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born on December 23, 1935 in Miami County, OH to the late Robert L. and Louisa M. (Elleman) Anderson.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years of marriage: Charlene (Kelley) Anderson; son: Gregg (Susan) Anderson of Troy; daughter: Patricia Anderson of Troy; granddaughter: Ellie (Alex) Miller of Troy; great grandchildren: William Miller and Maxwell Miller; sister: Linda (Michael) Short of Troy; nephew: Robert (Mary) Anderson III of VA and nieces: Shelley (Brett) Foster of Cincinnati, Trina Short of Pleasant Hill and Amy Short of Yellow Springs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law: Robert L. and Madeline Anderson; two great grandchildren: Gianna Marie and John Paul.

He was a graduate of Newton High School class of 1953 and Ball State University. He served his country in the US Air Force and Air National Guard. He was employed with General Motors for over 32 years.

He was a longtime member of Troy Baptist Church serving as Deacon, Music Director and Financial Secretary.   He enjoyed flying and spending time with his family.

Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Troy Baptist Church with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery in Troy with military honors. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Thursday at the church.
