DORTHEA J. "DOTTY" HAWKINS
DORTHEA J. "DOTTY" HAWKINS, age 56, of Troy, passed away on March 5, 2014 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton following a brief illness. She was born on October 27, 1957 in Piqua to the late Garnard and Emma Jean (Wells) Russell. Dotty was married to Robert Hawkins for 22 years.
In addition to her husband, Dotty is survived by five children: Benjamin Hawkins of Troy, Sherman Dunbar of Troy, Paul Dunbar of Troy, Brian (Dawn) Hawkins of West Milton and Jennifer Dever of Troy; two sisters: Patricia Russell of Tipp City and Parthenia (Doug) Jones of Tipp city; one brother: John (Cindy) Russell of Morena Valley, CA; and three grandchildren: Travis Dever, Brianna Hawkins and Jacob Hawkins.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Burial will be held at a later date. Friends and family may call from 2 – 4 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 4555 Lake Forest Drive, Suite 396, Cincinnati, OH 45242. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.bairdfuneralhome.com.
