Dorothy A. Kerr, 91, of Troy died Friday, October 15, 5:20 am at Koester Pavilion in Troy, OH. She was born November 17, 1918 on the family farm in Washington Township, Miami County, OH to the late Earl F. and Clara Estella Morrow Holfinger. She married Paul W. Kerr, February 14, 1943 in Bellville, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul in 2001 and her sister Elizabeth Stockstill in 2005. Survivors include: one brother Robert Evelyn Holfinger of Covington and Louise Gibboney of Sidney; three nephews, Doyle Connie Holfinger, Roger Cathy Holfinger and Brian Brenda Holfinger; three nieces, Regina Dennis Drieling, Rebecca Richard Brinkman and Rhonda Ted Daniel. Dorothy was a graduate of Troy High School. She was married to Paul Kerr for 58 years before his death. During her years of employment, Dorothy worked at the Mutual Insurance Co. and Kelly Temporary Services. Dorothy and Paul enjoyed travelling and made friends while spending the winters in Phoenix, AZ for over 30 years. A graveside service to celebrate and honor her life will be held at 2:30PM on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.
