Dorothy L. Alexander, age 81, formerly of Piqua, passed away on July 25, 2024, at Upper Valley Medical Center Emergency Room.  She was born on November 6, 1942, in Troy, to the late Willard and Bertha (Cruea) Anderson.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters: Regina (Robert) Price and Sharon (Kenneth) Hudson, both of Piqua; one sister: Mary (Frank) Collins of Piqua; 8 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Charlie Alexander; and one daughter: Tammera Clegg.

Dorothy graduated from Christiansburg Jackson High School.  She retired from Hartzell Fan after 42 years of service.  Dorothy loved animals and being around her family.

Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.  Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington.  Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
