Dorothea Marie Group Hunt Dorothea Marie Group Hunt, 97, died March 14, 2011 at Otterbein Retirement Living Community, Lebanon, Ohio following a brief illness. She was born October 25, 1913 in Clark County, Ohio to Harry A. and Adeline "Nellie" Hunt Group. The family moved to a farm near Casstown, Ohio in 1920. She graduated from Lostcreek High School in 1932 as class Salutatorian. She married Kenneth W. Hunt on January 24, 1937. Dory was a homemaker, grocery clerk, and postal clerk, and from 1968 to 1980 she was Casstown Village Clerk. She was an active member of the Casstown United Methodist Church, serving as a Sunday School teacher, treasurer and certified Conference and District Lay Speaker. She held several offices in the United Methodist Women, including District President and District Treasurer. Dorothea was a resident of Otterbein-Lebanon for 23 years and joined the United Methodist Church there also. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978, her brother and sister-in-law Laurence and Betty Group, and nephew Jay Group. Surviving is her sister Alice Melville Davidson of New Carlisle, nieces Dee Ann Rogers of Englewood and Teresa Phil Frantz of New Carlisle, nephew James Linda Davidson of New Carlisle, niece Mrs. Jay Maxine Group of Prairie City, Iowa, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Casstown United Methodist Church, Casstown, Ohio with Rev. David Ramming officiating. Interment will follow in Casstown Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00AM to 1:00PM Friday at the church. Baird Funeral Home, Troy is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donor's choice of charity.
