Doris G. Francis, age 85, formerly of Troy, more recently of Tipp City, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 in Tipp City.  She was born on October 24, 1932 in Madison, MN to the late Benjamin B. and Cecilia (Bauler) Goerger.   Doris was married to the late James R. Francis who passed away in 1999.

Doris is survived by her children:  Rose Mary (Anita) Francis of Ft. Wayne, IN; Michael James (Karen) Francis of Virginia Beach, VA; Anthony Jerome (Rebecca) Francis of Sahuarita, AR; and Stephen Joseph (Kathy) Francis of Plain City, OH; grandchildren:  Cory Francis; Devon (Scott) Reine; Erin (Greg) Courrier; Nicholas Francis; Tyler Coons; Brooke Francis; Alyssa Wilson; Jessica Francis and Alexander Francis; siblings: Martin (Annette) Goerger of Madison, MN;  Rosann Lanners of Minneapolis, MN; Marie (Donn) Gloege of Mesa, AZ; and Ruth (Raymond) Hoffman, of Minneapolis, MN.

In addition to her husband and parents, Doris was preceded in death by a sister, Bernadine Goerger and a brother, Paul Goerger.

Doris was a Registered Nurse at Dettmer Hospital for 30 years, retiring in 1999.   She was a member of the St. Johns Catholic Church in Tipp City.  She enjoyed playing piano and vacations at the beach.

Funeral mass will be held at 10 AM on Saturday October 20, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.  Interment will be Riverside Cemetery, Troy.   Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Baird Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to mass at church.
