DORIS BRUMMIT

Doris Brummit, age 89, formerly of Troy, OH; more recently of Tucson, AZ passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 in Oro Valley, AZ. Doris was born on February 19, 1926 in Greenville, OH to the late George and Phoebe Viola (Fessler) Thompson. Doris was married to Richard W. Brummit and he preceded her in death on September 9, 1995.

Doris is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Barry and Pam Brummit of Enid, OK and Brian and Judy Brummit of Navasota, TX; sister-in-law: Jerry Knapp of Emmett, ID; and numerous, cherished nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Doris was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Montjoy.

Doris was a graduate of Staunton School in Greenville, OH. She was a longtime bookkeeper at numerous businesses. Doris was a volunteer at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ for 30 years as information desk group leader.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Baird Funeral Home , Troy, OH. Interment will follow in the Glen Haven Memory Gardens, New Carlisle, OH. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
