DORIS ANN SOUTH

Doris Ann South, age 81, of Redmond, WA, formerly of Troy, OH, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Overlake Terrace in Redmond, WA.  She was born on October 5, 1933 in Troy, Ohio to the late Frank and Cora (Bausman) Brinkman.  Her Husband, Bobby W South, preceded her in death on September 17, 1993.

Doris is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Susan and Ron Reiger, Redmond, WA: sister: Betty Guthrie, Fairfield Glade, TN and three grandchildren:  Anna, Claire, and Freya Reiger, Redmond, WA.   She was preceded in Death By: Bobby South (husband), Thelma Walters (sister) and Donald Brinkman (twin brother).

Doris was a member of St John's Lutheran Church, Covington, OH and Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Kirkland, WA.  She was Secretary for the Miami County Board of Education (1985-1992), Secretary at St John's Lutheran Church, Covington, OH (1994-1999) and a volunteer at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Kirkland, WA (2000-2009).

Doris enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.  She was active in her church community.  Doris had a giving spirit and supported many charities primarily those related to the care of animals.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy, OH with Pastor Steve Nierman officiating.  Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington, OH.  Friends may call from 12-2 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
