Donnie Ray Bybee Donnie Ray Bybee, 64, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 4:30AM on Monday, October 25, 2010 at his home. He was born on April 25, 1946 in Whitley City, Kentucky to the late A. L. "Link" and Eva Burke Bybee. He lived in Sidney from late 1966 to June 24, 1982 when he married Dorie Solnok, then moved to Troy. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Dorie; six brothers: Earl, Robert AY, Bon L., Royce, Joe L. and Dean; and one sister, Rova. Survivors include his daughter, Annette and husband Bobby Smith; one brother, Rick of Onidea, Tennessee; three grandchildren: Karen and Greg of Sidney and Brittany of Troy; three great-grandchildren: Madyson, Myles and Carter all of Sidney; two sisters-in-law, Pat Bybee of Dayton and Marie of Cincinnati; and many nieces and nephews of Dayton, Cincinnati and McCreary County Kentucky. He served in the US Army from 1963 to 1966 and was stationed in Germany for two years. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church. He retired from the Lima Tank Plant in Lima, Ohio in 2008. He enjoyed golf and was a member of the American Legion and Sidney Moose. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00PM at the Baird Funeral Home, 555 N. Market Street, Troy, with the Pastor Brent Driver officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy with full military honors at the graveside.
