Donna Frances Singer, age 85, of Troy, Ohio, passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on August 15, 2025, at University of Cincinnati Hospital. She was born on July 1, 1940, in Rothwell, Kentucky, to the late Daniel Boone and Mary Elizabeth (Blevins) Clifton.

After graduating from Monroe Central High School in Preble County, Ohio, Donna pursued nursing at Wright State University and went on to devote 39 years to healthcare, serving in various hospitals including Kettering Health Network. During her career, she served as a paramedic, nurse, trainer and nurse manager—running a tight floor with both skill and compassion. Teaching was one of her greatest joys, and she shared her knowledge generously with the next generation of nurses at Wright State University and Sinclair University.

Donna was a long-time resident of Eaton, Ohio, where she and Jack, her husband of 56 years, raised their family before later moving to Troy. A faithful and active member of the Troy Christian Church, Donna professed her belief in Jesus Christ, who carried her through many of life's challenges. She also overcame several health battles with remarkable spunk and determination—even planning a celebratory trip to Colorado following a major surgery.

A gifted seamstress, Donna loved to sew for both mission work and family. Through her Cozy Quilters and Peaceful Stitchers groups, she created quilts for others while also blessing her children and grandchildren with personalized, hand-sewn gifts. She was a devoted supporter of her grandchildren's passions and attended countless activities to cheer them on.

Donna and Jack enjoyed traveling together, whether cruising or spending colder months in Northport, Florida. They also cherished taking their grandchildren on special fifth-grade trips. At home, Donna delighted in painting, reading and pie baking—a skill she joyfully passed along to her grandson.

She is survived by her husband: Jack Leon Singer of Troy; children: Lawrence Daniel (Pam) Wilson of Clayton and Susan Elizabeth (Greg) McCrabb of Dublin; grandchildren: Danielle (Marcus) Penn, Grant McCrabb, Reid McCrabb, and Quinn McCrabb; sister: Geraldine Daly of Eaton; and stepsister: Marjorie Stevens of Eaton. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her first husband: Daniel Wilson; son: Michael Lee Wilson; siblings: Milo Clifton and Gale Buchanon; and stepsister: Carol Evans.

Visitation hours are 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Troy Christian Church, 1440 OH-55 in Troy. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Chris Heiss officiating. Burial will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery in Tipp City.
