DONNA VIOLA BROWN, age 92, of Troy, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at her residence.  She was born on October 22, 1924 in Miami Co. to the late William and Isadora (Ross) Agne.  Her husband, Philip R. Brown, preceded her in death on March 11, 1999.

Donna is survived by two sons: Garry (Anita) Brown and Rex Brown, both of Troy; one daughter: Linda (Jim) Helgert of Kings Mills; one brother: Virgil Agne of Troy; brother-in-law: Paul Miller of Pleasant Hill; one granddaughter: Kristin (Derick) Bendickson of Troy; three great-grandchildren: Kolin Bendickson of Columbus, Katrina (Katie) and Ethin Bendickson of Troy.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Andrea Brown; and three sisters: Luellen Sentman, Velma Garman and Cleola Miller.

Donna was a 1942 graduate of Newton High School, where she was Salutatorian.  She was a member of Troy First United Church of Christ, Staunton Grange and Troy Senior Citizens.  Donna enjoyed her family, gardening, sewing, church activities and playing cards.  She worked as bookkeeper and secretary for the family business, Ray's Tune Up, in Troy for 58 years.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 22 at First United Church of Christ in Troy with Rev. Lauren Allen officiating. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. on Friday until the time of the service.  Fellowship will follow the service at the church.  A graveside committal service was held at Riverside Cemetery in Troy on Friday, September 15.
