Donald W. Tolbert, 87, of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life March 13, 2003 at Harborside Healthcare Center. He was born March 2, 1916 to the late David M. and Hester X.Chambers Tolbert. He is survived by his 2nd wife, Adelin North Tolbert and 3 children. Daughter, Patricia K. Mansmann of Troy, and 2 sons and daughter-in-laws, Daniel Wayne and Donna Tolbert of New Carlisle, Ohio; and Robert Dean and Tonda Tolbert of Troy, Ohio. He also has 3 step-children, Nancy and Toby Kidder of Goshen, Ind., Robert and Liz Ball of Tipp City, Ohio; and Josephine and Mark Smith of Warsaw, Ind. Also surviving are siblings, Beatrice M. Carmichael of Orleans, Ind., Bonnie Lou Brown of Orleans, Ind., and Bert W. Tolbert of Saugus, CA. Mr. Tolbert has 8 grandchildren, Don Mansmann, Sandra Winters, Terry Tolbert, Annette Acquafredda, Penny Davis, Pam Picard, Dan Tolbert II, Todd Kidder, Troy Kidder, Tanner Kidder, Trenton Ball and Alicia Ball. He also has 13 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death along with his parents are, 3 sisters, Maxine, Delilah,and Shirley and 1 granddaughter, Sharene Spade. Mr. Tolbert was a member of Friendship Community Church, Grace Brethren Church for many years, serving in various capacities in the church. He retired in 1981 from the local #162 as a plumber and pipe fitter.
