Donald G. Stevens Troy - Donald G. Stevens, 83 of Troy, Ohio passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2007 at his home. He was born December 20, 1923 in Christiansburg, Ohio to the late Forrest and Lina Gearhart Stevens. Don is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Susan Hanger Stevens; parents; three brothers and two sisters. Don is survived by a brother Kenneth Pauline Stevens of Brandt and sister Lola Dean Stevens of Troy. Don will be mourned by sons Raymond Glenna Hanger of S. Pittsburg, TN.; John Mary Hanger of Union, KY; Brian Julia Stevens of Reynoldsburg; daughter Judith Steven Dungan of Tipp City; grandchildren Lynn, Jenny, Rachel, Katherine, Gregory, Paul, Matthew, Daniel, Hannah and Nathan. Six great-grandchildren, extended family, as well as friends and neighbors will all miss him greatly. Don was a 1942 graduate of Christiansburg Jackson High School. He was a very charming, active member of his community, as a member of the First United Methodist Church choir for 25 years, and Mason in Franklin Masonic Lodge F&AM #14, Dayton Scottish Rite, an avid golfer, Reds fan and OSU Buckeye. Don enjoyed watching many sports. Card club, cotillion and so many friends kept Don and Sue busy for many years. Don also honorably served his country during WWII during D-Day and was awarded a Purple Heart. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Baird Funeral Home with the Rev. James C. Wilson II and Pastor Greg Dungan officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Troy with Military honors at the gravesite. There will be a reception immediately following at First Baptist Church in Tipp City. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday, November 13, 2007 from 5 to 8 PM at funeral home. Masonic services by Franklin Lodge will be held at 7:45pm Tuesday.
