Donald Ray Stapleton, 74, of Christiansburg, Ohio passed away on April 17, 2006 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. Don was born on August 27, 1931 in Jackson, Ohio to the late Mason and Telia, McCoy Stapleton. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Faye, brother, John, and step-daughter, Wanda. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Leona of Christiansburg, brother's, Charles, Cecil, Leonard all of West Union, Ohio, and Bob Stapleton of New Boston, Ohio, and one daughter, Donnelle. Don was also survived by his five step daughters, Geneva Blizmen; Lois Harp; Mary Maggart; Kay Alexander and Diane Johnson, along with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Don was retired from Operating Engineer's Local 18, which he had worked for many years. The viewing for Don will be held at Baird Funeral Home, 555 N. Market Street, Troy from 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday, April 19, 2006. The funeral will be Thursday, April 20, 2006 at 1:00pm at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy followed by burial at Honey Creek Cemetery in Christiansburg. Serving as pallbearers will be Dan, Mike, Doug, Pete, Roger, Jamie, and Zach.
