Donald E. Sotzing, 82, of Troy, died Monday, December 16, 2002 at UVMC. He was born to the late Elmer & Treva Hissong Sotzing on September 19, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty M. McCurdy. He is also survived by 2 children. Son and daughter-in-law; Jerry L. & Gloria Sotzing of Tipp City, Ohio and son and daughter-in-law Kent L. & Debra Sotzing of Troy. Also surviving are 3 sister; Lucille Gray of Casstown, Pauline Buirley of Troy, and Thelma and her husband Bill Ashmore of Troy. Preceeded in death by; 4 brothers; Marvin, Harold, Howard, and Robert Sotzing. Also preceeding are 2 sister; Marie Tayler and Ruby Plank. He has 4 grandchildren; Kristopher, Rebecca, Todd, and Lora Sotzing. 3 great-grandchildren; Julia Bowden, Cory Sotzing, and Leah Morris. He was a member of the Troy Church of the Brethren, and was a WWII Aircorp Veteran. He graduated from Elizabeth High School and he was retired from B.F. Goodrich since 1984 after 18 years of service.
