Donald M. Snyder Donald M. Snyder, age 88, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 6:44PM on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Koester Pavilion, Troy. He was born on April 16, 1923 in Tipp City, Ohio to the late Delbert Snyder and Olivia Fox Snyder. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley Faulkner Snyder and several nieces and nephews who he loved and who loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Corrinna Kauffman. He graduated from the Tipp City Schools. Mr. Snyder was a member of the Nashville United Church of Christ and the Monroe Grange. He loved flowers and the outdoors and enjoyed his travels to Alaska, Hawaii, Nova Scotia, and Amish Country. He was a farmer in his early years and then worked at the Troy Post office for over 30 years. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, May 13, 2011 at Nashville United Church of Christ, West Milton, Ohio, with interment to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City, Ohio. Friends may call from 5-8PM on Thursday at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Grange service at 7:45PM. The family would like to thank the nurses in Cardiac Rehab at Upper Valley Medical Center for their kindness and help all the years and also thank you to the doctors at Dr. Czajka's office.
